We will be covering a lot of material during the course of this two-semester class, including:

History of computing
Vocabulary and terminology
Identification of hardware and software
Touch-typing with the TypingMaster program
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Publisher

All of these things will help you succeed in your other classes by:

Allowing you to complete your homework and projects more quickly
Produce better quality assignments that will get you better grades
Give you more time for extra-curricular activities like drama, band, work, or sports
Make you a more valuable employee to an employer (more money, more job security)
